Family Medical Center’s Warming Shelters

Stay Warm!

With the brutal cold wind chills predicted for Wednesday and Thursday please see the attached listings of warming shelters for Lenawee and Monroe counties.

If you are able to stay inside please do so!

Please have a hat and gloves and an extra blanket in your car in case you have a vehicle break down.

Please check on your neighbors and the elderly. Please bring pets inside or provide shelter and non-frozen water for pets.

It takes a community to keep everyone safe!

Warming stations at ProMedica Bixby, Herrick hospitals open today

With wind chills Monday below zero and even more bitterly cold temperatures predicted for later this week, ProMedica Bixby Hospital in Adrian and ProMedica Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh will be opening at 6 p.m. Tuesday as a warming center for the community and will do so until 9 a.m. Friday.

The ProMedica Bixby Merillat Center in the basement of the hospital is the location for the warming center in Adrian. Those who need to go to the warming center should use the Grace Christman entrance at the rear of the hospital.

The ProMedica Herrick Hospital Conference Center in the basement of the hospital is the location for the warming center in Tecumseh.
The hospital asks that guests please find accommodations for pets. Those with questions may call 517-265-0265.

Monroe County

Salvation Army Warming Shelter. Open from 8pm in the evening until 8am in the morning each day when the temperature in Monroe drops to 32 degrees or lower. The shelter can support up to 30 people -1018 East Second Street

Get there early if the temperatures are cold. Monroe county residents only.
