This Christmas, FMC Wayne County held our 1st annual adoptive family event. We collectively selected one of the schools FMC services and picked a family to sponsor for Christmas. We gifted the family with some great gifts, served food, and played some games for prizes. Provider Matthew Allen posed as Santa, and Support coordinator Tierney Byrd was our elf. The staff participated as a team to put this event together, and it was a wonderful experience. BH Support Coordinator Supervisor Benita Johnson provided catered food that was delicious. Our department Supervisor Phil welcomed the family and participated in all games. The mother, Ms. Farrington from Mackenzie Elementary, was crying tears of joy as she just moved her and her family into a home after a struggle with homelessness for some time.
