On Wednesday, November 13th, the Lenawee Fair Grounds hosted the impactful Project Connect & Veteran Stand Down event, and FMC was proud to sponsor this incredible initiative. The event aimed to support homeless individuals in Lenawee County and surrounding areas by connecting them with essential resources and services.
Over 40 organizations participated, offering help with utilities, housing, legal aid, employment, and more. Attendees were also gifted with practical necessities such as bedding, food, and clothing. Free haircuts and lunch were provided, adding a personal touch that made a big difference.
The event was a resounding success, with over 200 individuals in need attending. A special shout-out goes to “my cousin Vinie” for generously offering free haircuts. Many attendees shared how much they appreciated this gesture, with some expressing how a fresh haircut made them feel like a whole new person.
Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and attended. This event demonstrated the power of community in making a meaningful impact!
