Family Medical Center of Michigan Annual Board of Directors Meeting was held on Thursday, January 25th, 2024 in the Carl VanWert Conference room. In summary:
- The Board nominated and selected officers for 2024
- A new Board member with many years of experience in the healthcare industry was added to the Board of Directors
- The Board reviewed the successes and accomplishments for 2023 which included
- National recognition for providing superb hypertension care
- Expansion of Behavioral Health services to children and adults
- Opening new and expanded pharmacy services
- Growing dental services in Monroe and Lenawee counties
- Added a Mobile Medical Van to help expand services in 2024
- Engaging in numerous community health events
Plans for 2024 were reviewed which include:
- Focus on quality care especially related to patients with diabetes
- Incorporating new technology in all areas of the organization, especially in service delivery
- Refocus on meeting the goals of FMC patients in all areas.
- Open the Optometry Clinic in Adrian
- The new school base clinics funded by the state of Michigan
