The Recognition Dinner on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, was a heartfelt event where the families of Pam LaPan and Carl VanWert were honored. Both Pam and Carl were beloved Board members who passed away, and their contributions were deeply cherished by all at Family Medical Center.
During the dinner, Board President Dave Brown presented a Memorial plaque to Carl’s wife and unveiled a wall-mounted dedication plaque that named the Temperance Conference room after Carl. Pam’s family received a Memorial plaque as well and was informed about the “Pam LaPan Concierge Health Services,” a comprehensive wraparound service named in her honor.
The evening was filled with touching stories shared by Board Members about Pam and Carl. Dave Brown and Ed Larkins expressed their gratitude to the families for sharing Pam and Carl with the Family Medical Center community. They acknowledged that the vision and heart of Pam and Carl played a significant role in shaping the organization into what it is today.
