Family Medical Center was honored to partner with United Way and Quest Labs on October 15, 2026, to help bring back Health Checks, an event dedicated to improving access to health services and community resources. Held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Temperance, Michigan, the event welcomed 104 attendees and provided valuable opportunities for individuals to prioritize their health and connect with local support.
Through this collaborative effort, 103 participants received blood panel testing through Family Medical Center and Quest Labs. Attendees also had access to additional health services, including laboratory services and memory screenings. A medication take-back program provided a safe and convenient way for community members to dispose of expired or unneeded medications.
Beyond health screenings, 18 vendors participated in the event, sharing information, answering questions, and connecting attendees with services and resources available throughout the community.
Family Medical Center is truly honored to help bring back Health Checks. Events like this demonstrate the power of community partnerships in breaking down barriers to care, increasing access to preventive health services, and connecting people with the resources they need to live healthier lives.
