FMC Participates in Project Connect 2025

On November 12, 2025, Project Connect brought the Lenawee community together for Homelessness Awareness Month, providing hope, resources, and a reminder that no one faces housing challenges alone.

This year, 41 organizations offered over 40 types of support, including utilities, housing, education, legal aid, family services, employment, healthcare, senior services, and transportation. Attendees received everyday essentials—toothbrushes, hairbrushes, socks, hats, blankets, and pillows—along with haircuts, vaccinations, food packages, and a warm lunch.

A special focus was the Veterans Stand Down, offering healthcare, employment support, enrollment and eligibility assistance, and SAS (Supportive Services for Veteran Families) to local veterans and their families.

“This event is a reminder that Lenawee County truly shows up for each other,” said one organizer. Coordinated by the Lenawee Continuum of Care (Project Connect Planning Committee), United Way of Monroe/Lenawee Counties, and Housing Help of Lenawee, Project Connect is more than an event—it’s a community showing care, compassion, and commitment to those in need.
